21 AND 22 JULY PHONICS (BEGINNER), STORYTELLING AND READING SESSIONS (WEEK 3)

This week, we had few new students.
Welcome Elvis, Yu En and Yu Kai.
For new students, they had learned ABC and its phonics sound.
In singing session, we teach them “Hokey Pokey” song.
Through this song, we teach them to differentiate the right and left side of their bodies and understand some simple body movement such like shake and turn around.

In story telling session, I gave them short reading activity in order to assess their reading level.

During activity session, I gave them very simple spelling in order to enhance their vocabulary’s understanding.

They had learned about buses, Double Decker, schedule, chugs, front windows, passengers.

In reading session, children had read a story book- Jones and Jones: the case of missing shoes.

Each child has to read partly of the story book.

All of them can read, but the way they read lack of expressions and tones.

In the activity session, I gave them some fun riddles, but none of them can give me the correct answer.

For this first try, they had done very well. They tried their best to complete the task.
GOOD JOB!
